an anticancer herb that cleans the liver
After going to Sansam Mountain last Saturday, I met honey grass, one of Korea’s four major anti-cancer herbs, while I was going down the mountain. Honey grass is often used for high blood pressure and thyroid diseases, and it is a good herb for fetal people with high blood pressure or hyperlipidemia.
Sansam collected honey grass every year, drank it, and made tea, so I collected a little this time as well, too.
Honey grass and herb
The name of the honey grass in the oriental medicine is Hajakcho, which is given because it is special to die in the summer leaving the flower petals on which the flowers were hung after the flowers that repeatedly bloomed.
The current Korean name honey grass is based on the Joseon Plant Hyangmyeongjip (Jeong Tae-hyun and three others, 1937), and the name honey grass was given because it is a wheat plant with a lot of honey in flowers.

학명 Prunella vulgaris var. lilacina Nakai
The genus Prunella is derived from the German word bruneiia, which means tonsillitis in Latin, and refers to plants in the genus Prunella. The species name vulgaris means ‘normal, ordinary’, and lilacina is derived from the Latin word lilacius (lilac), meaning ‘lilac-colored’.
The English name of honey grass, Sele heal, means that it treats itself, and in the end, honey grass has been recognized for its medicinal properties for a long time, regardless of the East and the West.
Honey grass characteristics
The stem of the honey grass that started to come up to the ground is square, but it’s still soft, so it seems like it’s spreading on the side
As they grow older, the stem stands straight, and they are about 30 to 50 centimeters tall. The leaves are opposite, oval or oval in shape, with flat edges or a little serrated.
The honey grass’s water flower petals are about to bloom
Just as plants of the honey grass family have a unique flower shape, the honey grass also blooms a unique flower that resembles the lips, which is called a pure flower crown because it is divided into two parts, which are shaped like lips.
The name of the honey grass in the oriental medicine is Hajakcho, which is given because it is special to die leaving the flower petals on which the flowers were hung when the flowers that repeatedly bloomed and died. The picture below shows the flower petals that are dried up and dead in the middle of summer.

Side effects of Gocho
Hagoseo is a good medicine for people with high blood pressure or hyperlipidemia, but it is not good for people who are thin or have a weak digestive system. In addition, it is not good to take a large amount of hagocho because of its cold nature, and people with weak stomach or stomach should be careful when taking it.
Honey glue and vinegar wine
When collecting honey grass, it is necessary to collect only 30 to 50% from the honey grass colony to protect the colony and maintain the population, so honey grass can be collected from generations to generations in the same place every year.
And honey grass cannot be collected like a bracken bent with hands. If you pull or tear the stem with your bare hands, the roots may be cut off or heard and the native land may be destroyed, so make sure to collect it using battery scissors, but leave one or two words from the bottom. Then a new stem comes out of the side and spreads out for breeding.
The collected honey grass must be washed lightly with water and completely dried to prevent mold from forming during storage.
Fully dried honey grass is fragile, so handle it carefully and store it in a large nonwoven fabric to prevent mold from forming during storage.
In the case of honey grass (hacho) soaking, it is better to dry it completely rather than raw materials. After 6 months to 1 year after immersion, the manure is aged for at least 1 year. In addition, if you soak it in alcohol, it is so thick that you can’t see the inside of the liquor bottle, so you don’t have to use a pretty decorative liquor bottle.
It can be manure after about six months, but it doesn’t matter if you just leave it for a few years. Sansam’s manure herb is distributed in wine bottles, labeled, and stored, and often runs away from home as a gift.
And the flower tea
It is also used as a flower tea after cutting only the buds of honey grass and drying them naturally. You can also drink tea using a candle outpost.
